The Allatoona High School Percussion Ensemble is comprised of members of the Allatoona High School Band program. This extra-curricular ensemble meets once a week during the spring semester. Focused on providing participants with an array of experiences in the world of percussion, students perform solo works, chamber music, and large-scale works of various styles and genres. During the past seven years, under the leadership of Director of Bands, Cecilia Clark and Percussion Director, Selena Sanchez, the Allatoona Percussion Department has tripled in size. In addition to several local school and community performances, the percussion ensemble has participated annually in the Lassiter Percussion Symposium.
